this is kinda funny because a looooong time before Hannibal was a thing I had a few conversations with K about book Hannibal and BBC Sherlock coming together

I’m not really a part of Sherlock fandom any more in any meaningful sense - I mean, I still love it, though I’m happy to acknowledge the plethora of problematic elements associated with it / fandom / Moffat etc - but now with TV Hannibal my interest in a decent crossover that doesn’t just play off ‘lol Hannibal eats rude people and Sherlock is rude so Hannibal would def. eat him’ has sort of been reawakened

because yes Hannibal would probably like to eat him eventually but I imagine from a psychiatric mindgamey point of view there are other things that would be a lot more fun

eta: not that the world needs another Sherlock crossover

I think I still have some of those conversations saved on my hard drive! I remember trying to convince you to write it, because I think you’d be fantastic at it (and admittedly, when I learned about the show, I thought, “NOW FABS HAS TO WRITE THAT THING WITH THE SHERLOCK AND THE HANNIBAL AND THEY’LL HAVE CHEEKBONE FIGHTS AND IT’LL BE AWESOME.”)

I’ve seen fics where Sherlock is Hannibal, and if there aren’t any Sherlock/Hannibal cross-overs where the two characters meet and have mind-fucky games, I’ll be very surprised. I don’t know the show, or Hannibal in general, well enough to really comment on whether or not he’d eat Sherlock, but I’m in agreement that playing with the mutual fascination between the two characters would be a lot more interesting ~~- then Hannibal can eat Sherlock after that.~~
